Atwaters is located in the Gorgeous Herrington Inn along the Fox River in Geneva. The dining room has wonderful windows and very comfortable chairs. This is my Mother's favorite restaurant to celebrate birthdays at. In the summer there is outside seating. My most recent meal was a hamburger that was amazing. I was able substitute fresh asparagus for French Fries. The Herrington always has fabulous desserts. Lunch is a great time to eat here and if you are able to,you can linger over coffee and dessert.

I don't think this place qualifies as fine dining, but they did have some decently standard American fare. We had crab cakes, steak, and chicken roulade. All pretty good but nothing extraordinary. The dining room had lots of windows and a nice view of the garden/river. Very early 2000s decor throughout the hotel and restaurant.

Atwater's doesn't have an extensive menu, but what they do, they do really well. The Surf and Turf (Filet and scallops) was cooked to perfection. The short rib risotto was really good as well.

Excellent service, amazing food. Small dining room but it still is an amazing date night. Especially if you are staying at the Harrington.

We celebrated another anniversary at Atwater's last Tuesday, with a window view across the Fox River toward the former site of our rehearsal dinner 43 years earlier. Dinner here is always special and our server again this year was Michael, who is well-mannered, helpful and professional in every way. We started with salads, then ordered entrees. My plum-glazed Faroe Island Salmon with Kimchi Jasmine Rice was superb! My husband also enjoyed his Pistachio Crusted Pork Tenderloin. We shared the luscious Chocolate Ganache Cake, which was one of my favorite restaurant desserts to date. It was a perfect start to our three night getaway in Geneva!

Another five star experience at Atwater's. I first dined here for my 65th birthday in May and knew I wanted to come back with my mom. My mom is 92 and I knew she would love the atmosphere, the old school feel and the ambience. I was right. She loved everything about our dining experience. We came for Sunday brunch and I requested a table by the window, which was honored. Robert was our server and provided great service. I have to say that both times I've dined here the service has been top notch and that makes it special for me. My husband had a bloody mary and I had a peach bellini, and we all shared the charcuterie board to start. I love their charcuterie board as there isn't an empty space on the board. The cheeses and meats are good and there's the added accoutrements like cornichons, olives, honeycomb and grainy mustard. For brunch my mom had the berry French toast with Virginia ham which looked amazing, my husband had the chicken crepes which he thoroughly enjoyed, and I opted for a traditional breakfast of poached eggs, english muffin, applewood bacon & fruit. Robert was so kind to ask the chef not to include any fruit with seeds so they gave me sweet melon. It was another wonderful dining experience at Atwater's. I really do love this place and look forward to the next visit.
